今年は5/20から始まったライラック祭り。
私たちも行ってきました♪
札幌の初夏を告げるライラックと共に大通り公園を中心に街が華やかな香りと活気に包まれます。
This year’s Lilac Festival began on 20 May.
We went along too♪
With the lilacs heralding the start of early summer in Sapporo, the city—centred around Odori Park—is enveloped in a vibrant atmosphere and the sweet scent of the flowers.

人気のカフェやスイーツが集まる会場。
緑に囲まれながらカフェテラスでゆったり過ごしながら、市民吹奏楽団の生演奏なども楽しむことができます。
Main Street Venue, 6th Block: Rira Terrace
A venue featuring a selection of popular cafés and patisseries.
Surrounded by greenery, you can relax on the café terrace whilst enjoying live performances by the local wind orchestra.

大通り7丁目：ライラックワインガーデン
道内最大級のラインナップを誇る北海道ラインの祭典です。
道内各地のワイナリーから200種類以上の道産ワインが集結し、ワインに合うフードとともに飲み比べが楽しめるのも魅力の１つです。
7-chome, Odori: Lilac Wine Garden
This is a celebration of Hokkaido wine, boasting one of the largest selections in the prefecture.
With over 200 varieties of Hokkaido wine gathered from wineries across the region, one of the highlights is the chance to sample different wines alongside food that pairs well with them.
同時開催で大通り8丁目では、札幌ラーメンショーも開催されており、絶品ラーメンをハシゴするのも定番の楽しみ方となっております。
この日は天気も良く、こんな日にお昼から美味しいものが食べれるのは最高だなとスタッフの勇子と話していました♪
Held at the same time on Odori 8-chome, the Sapporo Ramen Show is also taking place, and hopping from one stall to another to sample some exquisite ramen has become a classic way to enjoy the event.
The weather was lovely that day, and I was chatting with our staff member Yuko about how wonderful it is to be able to enjoy such delicious food from lunchtime on a day like this♪
穴場は川下会場です。
大通り会場の熱気が落ち着く5/30.31のみですが、約200種・1700本ものライラックが植えられている川下公園では、イベントが行われます。
ライラックの森を巡るツアーやコンサート苗木の無料配布などが予定されています。
The hidden gem is the Kawashita venue.
Although it is only on 30 and 31 May, when the buzz at the Main Street venue has died down, an event will be held at Kawashita Park, where some 1,700 lilacs of around 200 varieties have been planted.
The programme includes a tour of the lilac grove, a concert and the free distribution of saplings.
